My Best Companions (MBC) connects clients with companions for social, emotional, and non-medical support.
MBC accepts client referrals, interviews the client and family member, assesses the client's needs, and discusses a service plan with the family or client. That information is shared with the companion who will implement the plan. MBC will schedule companions based on location and client needs.
Payment Terms
Payment Method: Services will be paid through the website, and payment terms will be specified at sign-up.
Payment Schedule: Payments are made two weeks in advance.
Age Requirement
Contractors must be 18 years of age or older.
Background Check
All contractors must pass a comprehensive background check before being assigned to clients.
Health Status
Contractors should be in good physical and mental health and capable of performing the required duties.
Responsibilities
As a contractor, your role is crucial. You will provide companionship and assistance to assigned clients, helping them maintain independence in their homes. Your dedication is key to our mission at My Best Companions (MBC).
Light housekeeping and meal prep.
Medication reminders, games, crafts.
Provide respite care for family caregivers, especially those caring for individuals with conditions like dementia.
Advocacy
Act as an advocate for elderly clients, especially those with chronic health conditions or physical/emotional disabilities.
Arrange for required support services and provide advocacy for elderly patients recently discharged from medical facilities.
Compliance and Reporting
Record Keeping
Contractors must maintain accurate records of their service hours and activities.
Regular reports on client status and any concerns must be reported to the family.
Confidentiality
At My Best Companions (MBC), we take confidentiality seriously. Contractors must adhere to strict guidelines regarding client information, ensuring the trust and security of our clients.
Termination of Service
My Best Companions reserves the right to terminate a contractor's service for non-compliance with these terms, unsatisfactory performance, or changes in agency needs.
Contractors may terminate their service with appropriate notice as specified in their individual contracts.
